The dining set was designed for ease of use in outdoor environments, including poolside parties, barbecues, boating, camping, and caravanning.
In 2005, after considerable market research, I designed a practical solution for outdoor dining. This dining set was created for ease of use in outdoor environments, including poolside parties, barbecues, boating, camping, and caravanning. The product line was introduced at the Las Vegas Dining Expo in 2006, where it received FDA approval for food compliance requirements (Test certificate #SZHJ075850). At the trade show, the largest television shopping network, HSN, placed a significant order for the dining ware, which subsequently received the highest positive rating in its online review section compared to any other product. Unfortunately, the Global Financial Crisis (GFC) of 2007 impacted sales of all products on HSN. After the economic recovery, the buying team at HSN had changed, and despite the five-star customer reviews, the company did not place another order for unknown reasons. Another major U.S. company placed a large order for the plate sets, but during payment negotiations, the company filed for bankruptcy. Fortunately, I had not yet shipped the order.
